Motif scores its hand-built catalogue and stores your taste profile locally in your browser. When online catalogue search is available, your title search and selected TMDB title ID are sent to Motif's same-origin catalogue API, which queries TMDB. Your notes, chosen reasons, saves, and dismissals are not included.
